The first touch season for the year 2011 will begin this Friday. Due to a change in bus times we will be starting later than the last two seasons at 10:15am. We have also changed the structure of the competition and some player rules.
Competition Structure:
Games will be played 10 minutes for each half with a two minute break at halftime and in between games. We have done this as only two teams will play two games each week. One of these teams will play in the first round and third round and the other team will play in the third and fifth round. All teams will play two games during the round robin competition.
We will also have two finals day weekends in an effort to increase enthusiasm and competition between teams.
The dates are as follows:
March 18th - Week One
March 25th - Week Two
April 1st - Week Three
April 8th - Week Four
April 15th to the 29th - NCBIS School Holidays
May 6th - Finals Day One
May 13th - Finals Day Two
June 3rd - nile.touch One Day Touch Tournament at AIS.
If there are any inaccuracies please do not hesitate to contact us.
Players and Teams:
In the last season teams often fielded players who were not registered on their team. All teams will be required to field the team they have registered. If a team does not have enough players from their registered team the game must be forfeited which means the opposing team automatically. A game can still be played using players from other teams to fill in BUT it will just be a social game. If both teams do not have enough players they will share the points.
This means a player cannot play for two teams. They must chose who they are going to play for and ONLY fill-in in social games.
If players in your are not receiving your email it maybe because they do not write their email or are on your teams registration form. If you would like us to add their email please their information to nile.touch.
