Housekeeping

A white rugby ball with black designs and writing, it looks like from New Zealand, was left at the field.

For those of us who ride the bus to and from Maadi a pair of sunglasses were left on the bus and passed around from the bus driver to see whose they were. Do any of you know what happened to these sunglasses when they were passed around the bus? There were also some netball players on the bus could you please ask them. Your help would be very much appreciated.

Remember the provisional dates for next season are:

20 Jan (Registration Day), 27 Jan, 3 Feb, 10 Feb, 17 Feb, 2 Mar, 9 Mar, 23 Mar, 27 Apr (ANZAC Tournament Only), 4 May, 18 May, 25 May.

With what happened on finals day this season next season is only going to be even better.

We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Finals Day Results

Another successful nile.touch season completed. Our apologies for the length and inconvenience of the times but we needed to make up for the missed day. The quality of the playing was evident on Friday where teams who were not in the top four were able to make it to the semi-finals and finals. It is going to be a very interesting 2012 season.
Congratulations to Koko B.Ware and Untouchables for making the finals. It was a very close game with Koko B.Ware winning 2 tries to 1.

The results are as follows:
1st Place: Koko B.Ware
2nd Place: Untouchables
3rd Place: Wolves
4th Place: Simply Crocs
5th Equal Place: NCBIS Elders and The Drunks
6th Equal Place: Rehab Rebels and The Hangovers
7th Place: Maadi Mongrels
8th Place:
Baby Crocs

2011 Season Finals Day

This Friday is the finals day for this season. It will be a longer day than usual due to an elongated amount of time per game, 15 minutes halves, and the finals.

Remember there will be the BBQ, drinks and pies so bring money. It is also a good opportunity to start to organise your team for the 2012 season.

Referees will be stricter with the rules as these are higher stake games. They have been informed to be especially strict on these rules:

- Playing the ball correctly
- Playing the ball on the mark
- Defenders making their 5 metres

The format is a single elimination tournament. A draw has been created but the reminder of the draw will be made depending on the results of games. The games are based on the seeding/placings from the competition table. All teams will play two games, some may have to play three. The losing team will then play for a placing and the winning team will progress onto the next round.

Good luck to everyone and we will see you this Friday.
