nile.sports General Notice

The registration day was a great success for both players and administration. We have a lot of both old and new faces to the competitions. There are a couple of house keeping things that we need everyone to know.

Dual Codes:
It has been decided that players who are playing both codes will need to pay the registration fee for both. By making this decision a player will need to make the decision whether or not they will play either one code or both. This will reduce a clash between the codes in terms of games however if you would like to play both it is up to you.

NCBIS Grounds and Facilities:
All nile.netball or nile.touch players will need to be out of the school grounds by 1:30pm. This ensures that NCBIS staff are able to enjoy their schools facilities for the remainder of the day.

It is also appreciated that
players stay out of the PE office located next to the swimming pool and Mens changing room.

Fees and Proceeds:
Some of the fees and proceeds will go back into nile.netball or nile.touch in the form of equipment, food for the players and an end of school year function. The rest of the money will be donated to a charity. The administration from each code will decide on a charity that they will donate to and the players will be made aware of this in a Finals Day ledger. This ledger will not only indicate which charity will get the donation but a breakdown of where the fee money went from the start of the competition. This will provide both transparency and accountability for the money we have collected from the players.

There will be a function at the end of the school year. Some money will be allocated to this function by both nile.touch and nile.netball to give something back to the players.

We would like to thank all of the players for their part in creating a fantastic competition and opportunity for both codes to promoted in not only Cairo but Egypt.

Touch Registration Day Information

Hi Everyone,

Registration for the upcoming touch season will be at 9:00am this Friday the 24th of September.

Bus
There will be a bus from MGM in Maadi that will leave at 8:00am. A minimum contribution of 5LE each way to the driver will be appreciated.

Registration
The cost for registration this year will be 100LE for an individual player who registers with a team and 140LE for an individual player who wants nile.touch to organise a team for them. The proceeds from registration will go towards purchasing nile.touch and nile.netball equipment or go to back into the players through different events. Any remaining amount that is made by nile.touch will be given to charity - nile.touch is a nonprofit organisation.

ON ARRIVAL: When registering go to the administration person in charge of nile.touch. If you have not already printed a registration form and filled it out, you will need to fill out a registration form and then hand it to the administration desk with your registration fee. Once a player has registered they will need to tell administration if they want us to put them into a team or they already have a team already organised. Administration will then put them into a team created by us or add them to their own team list that we will have.

Workshops
On registration day there will be two workshops.

Referee Workshop 10:00am - This will be for individuals who would like to referee some touch games. All levels of players are welcome as it is a good opportunity to both brush up on their reffing skills or ask any questions about rules that they are unsure about.

Touch Skills Workshop 11:00am - In this workshop we will look at the basic skills involved in touch. We will run through some drills and activities that will hopefully improve a players skills and knowledge for the game.

Important: We should have the registration process completed by 12:00pm. Once this is done we will then be able to create a quick draw and play some friendly games.

Remember there will be free hot dogs that will be cooked throughout the day.

If you have any questions, would like a registration form or the touch rules please email nile.touch@gmail.com.

Thanks,
nile.touch.

Touch Team and Player Registration Day Friday the 24th of September

Welcome back everyone,

A new season of nile.touch will begin on Friday the 24th of September. It is a chance to register either your team or yourself as an individual player.

Registration will start at 9:00am. Both teams and individuals will need to fill in the registration form and pay their registration fee to the administration desk.

Registration fess are 140LE for an individual player and 100LE if your are in a team. We are doing this to try to encourage people to create their own teams however if you want us to put you into a team we are very happy to do so.

During the registration time people can play touch. We may also have some workshops but this is still to be confirmed.

We will keep you all posted.

Looking forward to it - nile.touch
